Overview

RIMS is a global nonprofit organization that provides events to their members and none members

I’m the senior graphic designer at RIMS and I’m lead designer on events at the society. In 2019 covid shut down all our in-person events.

The challenge

Covid shut down all in-person events. Our assignment was to take RIMS events and make them Virtual and online.

Working with the stakeholders, marketing and IT, I was tasked with moving our RIMS ERM 2020 event online/virtual.

The design

I needed to take the RIMS ERM in-person branding from the year before and make it work in the virtual software.

It took redesigning a little bit of the RIMS ERM 2019 branding to achieve the goal of making the RIMS ERM 2020 event fully virtual/online.

Outcome

The Virtual Conference was well received.

I learned the new eShow software in order to achieve this goal of moving the event completely virtual/online. In 2020, I achieved the goal and moved all the in-person creative branding to a fully online/virtual event. We had over 400 people register and attend out first virtual event, it brought in over 120,000.00 for the company.

Building on our successful online/virtual 2020 RIMS ERM event and covid restrictions being lifted I took our 2021 event and turned it into a hybrid event. The event was in-person in nYc and online/virtual with a new software Socio. Again we had a successful event.
